Photos carry more than the picture

A photo taken with a phone stores the date, the phone model and, very often, the exact GPS position where it was taken. Turn a photo of a receipt, a rental flat or a handwritten form into a PDF and that location can travel with it. This tool removes that information before building the PDF.

What happens to the images

JPEG photos are placed in the PDF without being compressed again, so there is no quality loss, and the camera data inside them is stripped first without touching a single pixel. Each image gets its own page at its original size. PNG images are embedded losslessly.

Limits

The page takes the size of the photo, so pictures of different sizes produce pages of different sizes. To put both sides of an ID card on one page, use ID Card to PDF, which is built for exactly that.
