Why does my PDF still open sideways after I rotated it in my viewer?
Because viewer rotation is only a display setting on your own computer and is not saved into the file. This tool writes the rotation into the PDF itself, so the corrected orientation travels with the file to every recipient and every device.
Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole document?
Yes. Pages can be rotated individually, which is exactly what mixed documents need, for example a portrait report that contains a couple of landscape tables. Rotating everything at once is also available for uniformly sideways scans.
Does rotating reduce quality or change the file size?
No. Rotation only updates each page's orientation setting, so nothing is recompressed or resampled. The file size stays essentially identical, the content is untouched, and you can rotate as many times as you like.
